Portland Car Parking Charges...

Thankfully Weymouth and Portland Borough Council have listened to our complaints (well done you!), and reduced the proposed charges from an extortionate £5 per day to a mere 50p for 6 hours. Charges for longer than this period are £1 for 12 hours and £2 for 24 hours. In addition, 50% of all revenue will go directly to local projects. Hopefully this measure will also prevent people from leaving scrap-cars here as well. The Order will come into operation from 1st April, although there may be a delay in implementing the charges.
