'Guy Fawkes' repeated...

Dan Kennard on Guy Fawkes, New Cuttings

One of Dorset's hardest boulder problems, ' Guy Fawkes', at the New Cuttings has been repeated by Dan Kennard. A fighting fit Dan, who recently returned from a 6-week soujourn at Hueco Tanks, found that good conditions were essential on this ultra-thin tespiece.

First Climbed by Jimbo Kimber at V10, this problem lost a key starting jug, and was unrepeated until John Gaskins reputedly re-ascended the line at V10/V11. After spending the last 2 years travelling to the world's bouldering hotspots, Dan feels that a grade of benchmark V11 is more appropriate, especially in light of the deterioration of the right-hand crimp.
